Energy Photosynthesis Explain Reasons Sunlight Producers Receive Converted

Only 1-3% of sunlight producers receive is converted into chemical energy because about 90% is reflected, some is transmitted through the leaf, some wavelengths are unusable, other factors limit photosynthesis, and energy is lost in photosynthetic reactions.

Solo l'1-3% dell'energia solare ricevuta dai produttori viene convertita in energia chimica perché circa il 90% viene riflesso, una parte viene trasmessa attraverso la foglia, alcune lunghezze d'onda sono inutilizzabili, altri fattori limitano la fotosintesi e parte dell'energia viene persa nelle reazioni fotosintetiche.

Front Explain 3 reasons why 1-3% of sunlight producers receive is converted into chemical energy.
Back Inefficiency of producers:
  • Not all solar energy available is used for photosynthesis - 90% is reflected, some transmitted through leaf and some is of unusable wavelength
  • Other factors may limit photosynthesis
  • Proportion of energy is lost bc it is used for photosynthetic reactions
