Filament Consists State Molecules Make Thick Thin Myofibril

Myofibrils are composed of thick filaments (myosin with projecting heads) and thin filaments (actin, two strands twisted together).

Los miofilamentos gruesos están hechos de miosina, con cabezas que se proyectan, y los filamentos delgados están hechos de actina, dispuesta en dos hebras retorcidas.

Front State the molecules that make up the thick and thin filaments of a myofibril and describe their shape and arrangement.
Back Myofibrils are composed of:
  • Actin - thinner filament that consists of two strands twisted around each other
  • Myosin - thicker filament that consists of long rod-shaped fibres with bulbous heads that project to one side
