Elastin is an elastic, insoluble quaternary protein made of cross-linked tropoelastin molecules, found in blood vessel walls and lung alveoli to provide tissue flexibility.
La elastina es una proteína cuaternaria elástica e insoluble, compuesta por moléculas de tropoelastina entrecruzadas, que se encuentra en las paredes de los vasos sanguíneos y los alvéolos para dar flexibilidad a los tejidos.
