Monoclonal Hcg Antibody Mouse Fused Hybridoma Describe Produced
Front |
Describe how monoclonal antibodies to hCG are produced. |
Back |
Producing hCG monoclonal antibodies:- Mouse is injected with hCG so it makes the appropriate antibody
- B-cells that make the required antibody are then removed from the spleen of the mouse & fused with a myeloma
- New fused cell - hybridoma
- Each hybridoma reproduces rapidly, resulting in clone of millions of cells that produce the desired antibody
- Monoclonal antibodies are collected, purified and used in variety of ways
