Phenotypic Ratios Linkage Explain Occur Genes Linked Inherited

Linked genes are inherited as a single unit, without independent assortment during meiosis. This prevents random shuffling of alleles, leading to unexpected phenotypic ratios in offspring.

Genos ligados são herdados como uma unidade, sem sortimento independente durante a meiose. Isso impede o embaralhamento aleatório de alelos, resultando em proporções fenotípicas inesperadas na prole.

Front Explain why phenotypic ratios may not occur if there is linkage between genes.
Back Linkage & phenotypic ratio:
  • Linked genes are inherited as one unit - there is no independent assortment during meiosis
  • As a result, they cant undergo random shuffling of alleles during meiosis - expected ratios not produced in offspring
