Shoots are positively phototropic (grow towards light), and roots are negatively phototropic (grow away from light), because IAA promotes cell elongation in shoots but inhibits it in roots.
Les pousses sont phototropiquement positives (poussent vers la lumière) et les racines sont phototropiquement négatives (poussent à l'opposé de la lumière), car l'IAA favorise l'élongation des cellules des pousses mais inhibe celle des racines.
