Tissue Blood Production Fluid Capillary End Pressure Lymph

Tissue fluid forms by ultrafiltration of plasma at the arterial end of capillaries where hydrostatic pressure exceeds oncotic pressure. 90% re-enters the blood at the venous end, and 10% drains into lymphatic capillaries as lymph.

El líquido tisular se forma por ultrafiltración del plasma en el extremo arterial del capilar, donde la presión hidrostática supera la oncótica. El 90% regresa a la sangre en el extremo venoso, y el 10% drena hacia los capilares linfáticos como linfa.

Front Describe production of tissue fluid in a capillary bed and the possible routes it will take.
Back Production of tissue fluid:
  • Forms by ultrafiltration of blood plasma thru fenestration in capillary walls at the arterial end bc hydrostatic pressure > oncotic pressure
  • 90% re enters blood by reapsorption at venous end
  • 10% of tissue fluid is drains into system of blind ended lymph capillaries where it is called lymph thru which it eventually returns into blood into right & left subclavian veins
