The hydrolysis of maltose breaks the glycosidic bond between two glucose molecules by adding a water molecule. The OH from water attaches to one carbon, and the H to the other, separating the two glucose units.
La hidrólisis de la maltosa rompe el enlace glucosídico entre dos moléculas de glucosa mediante la adición de una molécula de agua. El OH del agua se une a un carbono y el H al otro, separando las dos unidades de glucosa.
