Rotoscope Live Action Film Frame Paper Rotoscope/Rotograph Operate

Front What is a rotoscope/rotograph? How does one operate?
Back The rotoscope works by projecting a live action film strip frame by frame onto a desk, either from above or below. The frames of live action are then traced onto animation paper, creating a very floaty but smooth sequence of animation. The rotograph worked like the rotoscope but instead of being used for tracing, the film projected was used as a moving background. *Vandenbos got weird about the paper thing so make sure to say paper
