Ca Increases Hormone Produced Parathyroid Gland Effect?  Pth

Parathyroid hormone (PTH) is released when blood calcium levels are low. It functions by promoting Vitamin D synthesis, increasing calcium absorption, reducing calcium excretion in urine, and stimulating bone resorption.

PTH in response to low blood Ca levels via 1. promotes synthesis of Vitamin D 2. Increases absorption of Ca 3. Decreases urinary excretion 4. Increases bone resporption

Front What hormone is produced by the parathyroid gland and what is the effect?
