Binary fission involves the synthesis of new cell components, cell elongation, formation of a new plasma membrane and cell wall, and eventual division into two daughter cells.
La fisión binaria implica la síntesis de nuevos componentes celulares, el alargamiento de la célula, la formación de una nueva membrana plasmática y pared celular, y finalmente la división en dos células hijas.
| Front | What are the steps in binary fission? |
|---|---|
| Back | 1. Cell begins to synthesize new cell components 2. new components are created, cell elongates 3. New plasma membrane and cell wall are created 4. ingrowing walls meet and cell splits/divides into 2 daughter cells 5. daughter cells may separate |
