Centrosomes Chromosomes Microtubule Called Occurs Early Prophase?  Chromatin

Front What occurs in early prophase?
Back 1. Chromatin coils condense and form chromosomes
2. As the chromosomes appear, the nucleoli disappear  and the 2 centrosomes separate from each other
3. Centrosomes act as focal points for growth of microtubule assembly called mitotic spindle.
4. As mictrotubules lengthen, they propel the centrosomes towards opposite poles
5. Microtubule arrays called asters extend from the centrosome matrix
