Coa Acid Rxn Kreb Cycle?  Transfers Acetyl C2

The first reaction of the Krebs cycle involves CoA transferring the acetyl (C2) group to oxaloacetic acid (C4) to form citric acid (C6), also adding a water molecule and freeing CoA.

La primera reacción del ciclo de Krebs implica la transferencia del grupo acetilo (C2) de la CoA al oxaloacetato (C4) para formar citrato (C6) y liberar la CoA.

Front What is the first rxn of the Kreb cycle?
Back 1. CoA transfers the acetyl (C2) group to a C4 compound (oxaloacetic acid)
