The fifth reaction of the citric acid cycle converts succinyl CoA (C4) to succinate (C4), producing GTP which readily transfers its phosphate to form ATP.
La quinta reacción del ciclo de Krebs convierte el succinil-CoA (C4) en succinato (C4), produciendo GTP que transfiere su fosfato al ADP para formar ATP.
Front | What is the 5th rxn of the citric acid cycle? |
---|---|
Back | Succinyl CoA reacted to form GTP and succinate (C4) - some of NRG from C4 is used to phosphorylate GDP to GTP - GTP readily transfers its Pi to form ATP |
