H+ Ions Cell  Prevent Microbes Adapt Acidic Environments

Microbes adapt to acidic environments by actively pumping H+ ions out, blocking carriers to prevent entry, or creating acid-shock proteins to prevent denaturation.

Front How do microbes adapt to acidic environments ?
Back 1. Use active transport to pump H+ ions out of cell
2. Block carriers to prevent entry of H+ ions into cell
3. If cytoplasm becomes mildly acidic, create acid-shock proteins to prevent denaturation
