High Gfr Nacl Cells Afferent Juxtaglomerular Apparatus Control

To control high GFR with NaCl, the macula densa senses high NaCl, stimulates JG cells to constrict the afferent arteriole, and mesangial cells may contract.

Para controlar una TFG alta con NaCl, la mácula densa detecta alto NaCl, estimula a las células JG a contraer la arteriola aferente y puede contraer las células mesangiales.

Front How does the juxtaglomerular apparatus control high GFR with NaCl?
Back 1. Less NaCl is absorbed
2. Macula densa senses high levels of NaCl in flitrate and stimulates JG cells to constrict the afferent arteriole
3. Constriction of afferent arteriole will return GFR to normal
4. Mesangial cells may contract, constricting capillaries & reducing filtration
