Ejection occurs when ventricular pressure exceeds the pressure in the pulmonary artery or aorta, causing the semilunar valves to open and blood to be ejected.
1. Occurs when pressure in ventricles > pressure in PT or aorta 2. Semilunar valves open so blood can be ejected 3. Pressure in left ventricle and aorta rise to appx 120 mmHg <img src="paste-7d85a111618eb1d25f2287d413688235961b374c.jpg">
