Chloroplast Mitochondria Non Nuclear Genome.  Randomly Assorted Gametes Daughter

Text Chloroplast and mitochondria contain their own non-nuclear genome.  Chloroplast and mitochondria are randomly assorted to gametes and daughter cells during cell division.  Mitchondria and chloroplast DNA is inherited from the mother, and does not follow simple Mendelian rules, although these inheritance patterns can be determined through pedigree analysis.  This is known as non-nuclear inheritance.
