Exons Splicing Retaining Mrna Transcript.  Primary Alternative Process

Alternative splicing is the process of splicing introns and retaining exons in the mature mRNA transcript. There are many different exons on a primary transcript. Selectively retaining exons from the primary transcript leads to different mRNA transcripts and different proteins.
