Genes Assort Pair Alleles Law Independent Assortment States

Text Law of Independent Assortment states that two or more genes assort independently--that is, each pair of alleles segregates independently of any other pair of alleles--during gamete formation.  Only applies to alleles located on different chromosomes or far apart on the chromosome.  Requires a dyhibrid cross to determine if two genes assort independently.
