Implantation Grizzly Bears Mate July Females Delay Eggs

Text Grizzly bears mate between May and July, however females delay implantation of their eggs into the uterus until October or November.  Implantation does not occur when the female is not fat enough because that indicates food is limited.  This shows how different organisms modulate reproductive strategies in response to energy availability.
