Antibodies Mobile Hcg Line Test Blue Specific Present

Pregnancy tests detect hCG by using mobile antibodies labeled with blue dye that bind to hCG, which are then captured by immobilized antibodies, forming a visible line. A control line confirms the test's proper function.

A pregnancy test detects hCG hormone. Mobile antibodies with blue dye bind to hCG, and immobilized antibodies capture this complex, forming a blue line in the results window. A control window ensures test functionality.

Front How does a pregnancy test work.
Back Placenta produces a hormone called human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG)
1. The mobile antibodies attach to the hCG, the mobile antibodies have a blue dye attached (reaction zone)
2. Immobilised antibodies specific to hCG and if hCG present blue line would form (results window)
3. Immobilized antibodies specific to mobile antibodies so if hCG not present a line would still form in control window if no line formed in control window the test is defective.
