ATP fuels muscle contraction by powering myosin head movement and the active reuptake of calcium ions into the sarcoplasmic reticulum.
ATP is used in muscle contraction for the movement of myosin heads (power stroke) and for the active transport of calcium ions back into the sarcoplasmic reticulum.
