Back Oestrogen can stimulate breast cells to divide and replicate, more cell divisions taking place increases chance of mutations occuring hence increasing chances of cells becoming cancerous

If cells become cancerous there replication can be further assisted by oestrogen helping tumours to form quicker

Oestrogen is able to introduce mutations directly into DNA of certain breast cells which increases the chances of these cells becoming cancerous
