Dna Mixture Polymerase Degrees Strands Pcr Reaction Free

Front PCR (polymerase chain reaction)
Back A reaction mixture is set up that contains the DNA sample, free nucleotides, primers and DNA polymerase
DNA mixture heat to 95 degrees to break the hydrogen bonds between the 2 strands of DNA

The mixture is then cooled between 60 to 70 degrees so that the primers can bind to the strands

Reaction mixture heated to 72 degrees so the polymerase can work

DNA polymerase lines up free floating DNA nucleotides alongside each template strand, specific base pairing means new complementary strands are formed

Two new copies of the fragment DNA are formed and one cycle of PCR is complete
