Electrical Activity Left Waves Node San Atria Contract

Front Process of heart beat
Back Starts in the sinoatrial node which is in the right atrium

SAN sends a wave of electrical activity to the atrial wall

This causes the right and left atria to contract at the same time

Band of non-conducting collagen tissue prevents waves of electrical activity from being passed directly from atria to the ventricles

Waves of electrical activity are transferred from SAN to the atrioventricular node

Bundles of His splits into finer muscles fibres in right and left ventricle walls called Purkyne tissue which carries the waves of electrical activity into muscular walls of the right and left ventricle causing them to contract simultaneously from the bottom up.
