Explain Advantages Lipid Droplet Micelle Formation Increase Surface

Lipid droplet formation increases the surface area for lipase action, speeding up triglyceride hydrolysis; micelles then carry fatty acids and glycerol to and through the intestinal cell membrane.

A formação de gotículas lipídicas aumenta a área de superfície para a ação da lipase, acelerando a hidrólise dos triglicerídeos; as micelas transportam ácidos gordos e glicerol através da membrana para a célula intestinal.

Front Explain the advantages of lipid droplet and micelle formation.
Back 1. Droplets increase surface areas (for lipase /
enzyme action);
2. (So) faster hydrolysis / digestion (of
triglycerides / lipids);
3. Micelles carry fatty acids and glycerol /
monoglycerides to / through membrane / to
(intestinal epithelial) cell;
