Light Reaction Ribulose Bisphosphate Triose Phosphate Carbon Dioxide

Front Describe the stages of light independent reaction
Back Carbon dioxide enters through stomata and dissolves into water and diffuses across cell surface membrane and into the stroma

Carbon dioxide reacts with ribulose bisphosphate which is catalyzed by enzyme ribulose bisphosphate carboxylase (rubisco) and produces x2 glycerate 3-phosphate

Reduced NADP reduces glycerate 3-phosphate to triose phosphate using energy from ATP

NADP reformed and goes back to light dependent reaction to be reduced again

Some triose phosphate used to produce organic materials such as glucose

Most triose phosphate used to regenerate ribulose bisphosphate using ATP from light dependent reaction
