Lungs Fibrosis Scar Tissue Affect Formation Thicker Elastic

Fibrosis is the formation of scar tissue in the lungs, making them less elastic and reducing their expansion capacity, which decreases tidal volume and forced vital capacity, and impairs gas diffusion.

Front How does fibrosis affect the lungs
Back Fibrosis is the formation of scar tissue in lungs
Scar tissue thicker and less elastic, lungs less able to expand, tidal volume and forced vital capacity reduced.
Reduction in the diffusion of gases
