Node Saltatory Conduction Neurones Cytoplasm Conducts Electrical Charge

Saltatory conduction allows the electrical impulse to 'jump' between nodes of Ranvier along the myelinated axon, speeding up transmission.

Saltatory conduction is the process where the electrical charge jumps from one node of Ranvier to the next along the neuron's cytoplasm, speeding up impulse transmission.

Front Saltatory conduction
Back Neurones cytoplasm conducts electrical charge to depolarise next node so the impulse jumps from node to node
