Back | 1. cut 5 equally sized beetroot pieces using a scalpel, rinse to remove any pigment 2. add the 5 pieces to 5 test-tubes and add 5cm3 of water using a pipette or measuring cylinder 3. place each test tube in a water bath at different temperatures (10,20,30,40,50) for the same length of time 4.Remove the pieces of beetroot leaving the liquid leftover 5. use a colourimeter to measure the amount of light passing through the liquid, calibrate using pure water. |
