Potential Sodium Depolarisation Action Formation Difference Reaches Threshold

Depolarization happens when the threshold potential is reached, opening more sodium channels and causing rapid sodium influx.

Depolarization occurs when the membrane reaches a threshold potential (-55mV), causing more sodium channels to open and rapid sodium ion influx.

Front Depolarisation (action potential formation)
Back If potential difference reaches threshold value (-55mV) more sodium ion channels open and more sodium ions diffuse rapidly into neurone
