2e Light Energy Absorbed Psi Reenergised Returns H

When light energy is absorbed by PSI, electrons are re-energized, either returning to the ETC to pump more H+ or, in non-cyclic photophosphorylation, forming NADPH2 by combining with NADP+ and H+.

- 2e- reenergised EITHER - returns to ETC - another H+ actively transported OR - non-cyclic photophosphorylation - NADP + 2e- + 2H+ --> NADPH2

Front What happens when light energy is absorbed by PSI?
Back - 2e- reenergised

EITHER

- returns to ETC
- another H+ actively transported

OR

- non-cyclic photophosphorylation
- NADP + 2e- + 2H+ --> NADPH2
