Cells/Organisms Gene Marker Recombinant Plasmid Transgenic Transformed Identified

Marker genes are used to identify transformed cells or organisms containing a recombinant plasmid with a transgenic gene, as not all cells or organisms take up the plasmid.

Los genes marcadores se utilizan para identificar células u organismos transformados que contienen un plásmido recombinante con un gen transgénico, ya que no todas las células u organismos toman el plásmido.

Front Why are marker genes used?
Back - not all cells/organisms take up recombinant plasmid containing transgenic gene
- allows transformed cells/organisms containing gene to be identified
