Non-disjunction in meiosis occurs when homologous chromosomes or sister chromatids fail to separate, resulting in two copies of the same chromosome in a daughter cell or three copies in a zygote (trisomy).
La non-disgiunzione nella meiosi si verifica quando i cromosomi omologhi o i cromatidi fratelli non si separano correttamente, portando a due copie dello stesso cromosoma in una cellula figlia o a tre copie in uno zigote (trisomia).
