Direction Kinesis Motile Organism Speed Frequency Changing Response

A kinesis is a response where a motile organism changes speed and frequency of changing direction in response to a stimulus, with random, non-directional movement, like woodlice moving faster in dry areas.

Front What is a kinesis?
Back - motile organism changes speed and frequency of changing direction in response to stimulus
- movement is random and non-directional

Eg - woodlice change direction more and move more quickly in dry areas where they lose water, increasing the probability of returning to a damp area
