Dna Gene Desired Cut Isolate Strand Polymerase Complementary

Desired genes can be isolated for recombinant DNA technology by using reverse transcriptase to create cDNA from mRNA, cutting genes from chromosomes with restriction enzymes, or synthesizing them artificially using a gene machine.

- isolate mRNA produced from desired gene from cell - use reverse transciptase to catalyse production of single strand of DNA - use DNA polymerase to form double strand complementary DNA - cut desired gene from chromosome - using specific restriction endonuclease with complementary recognition sequence - produces sticky ends - make gene with desired base sequence artificially - using gene machine and DNA polymerase
