Electron Carrier Complex Mitochondrial I Nadh Donates Nadh Nad

At electron carrier complex I, NADH donates electrons (oxidizing to NAD+) and energy from the electrons is used to actively transport H+ from the mitochondrial matrix to the intermembrane space, then passing to electron carrier complex III.

Front What happens at the electron carrier complex I?
Back - NADH donates electrons
- NADH --> NAD

- energy from e- used to actively transport H+ from mitochondrial matrix into intermembrane space
- across inner mitochondrial membrane

- electrons pass to electron carrier complex III
