Evaluate questions require discussion of positives and negatives, such as samples being too small, results not being representative, lack of repetition, insufficient range of effects, side effects, differences between species, or lack of statistical tests.
Front | How do you answer Evaluate questions? |
---|---|
Back | - Positives and Negatives - sample too small / not representative - results may be different over larger time scale - no control - as x increases, y increases/decreases - correlation does not mean causation - named factor may have affected dependent variable - choose 1 variable specific to experiment that should have been controlled - range of effect? does data reach 0? - there may be side effects - effects in humans may be different - significance - standard deviation / error bars - no statistical test has been performed - what don't we know? |
