The atrioventricular (AV) node is a specialized heart muscle tissue region between the left and right atria. It delays electrical impulses for about 0.1 second before they spread to the ventricles, causing them to contract.
El nódulo auriculoventricular (AV) es una zona de tejido muscular cardíaco especializado entre las aurículas izquierda y derecha. Retrasa los impulsos eléctricos por unos 0.1 segundos antes de que se propaguen a los ventrículos, provocando su contracción.
