Lymphocytes Specific Antigen Clone Cells Clonal Selection Process

The process where an antigen selectively binds to and activates lymphocytes with matching receptors, leading to proliferation and differentiation into effector and memory cells.

El proceso por el cual un antígeno se une selectivamente y activa solo aquellos linfocitos que portan receptores específicos para el antígeno. Los linfocitos seleccionados proliferan y se diferencian en un clon de células efectoras y un clon de células de memoria específicas para el antígeno estimulante.

Back The process by which an antigen selectively binds to and activates only those lymphocytes bearing receptors specific for the antigen. The selected lymphocytes proliferate and differentiate into a clone of effector cells and a clone of memory cells specific for the stimulating antigen.
