The mitotic (M) phase encompasses both mitosis, the division of the nucleus, and cytokinesis, the division of the cytoplasm, during the cell cycle.
The mitotic (M) phase is the stage of the cell cycle that includes mitosis (nuclear division) and cytokinesis (cytoplasmic division).
