Phylogenetic Bracketing Approach Features Shared Groups Organisms Predicted

Phylogenetic bracketing is an approach in which features shared by two groups of organisms are predicted (by parsimony) to be present in their common ancestor and all of its descendants.

Phylogenetic bracketing predicts shared features in a common ancestor and its descendants based on features present in related groups.
