Turgid Swollen Distended Plant Cells Walled Greater Solute

Turgid describes a cell (especially a plant cell) that is swollen or distended due to water entering it.

Túrgido describe una célula (especialmente vegetal) que está hinchada o distendida debido a la entrada de agua.

Front turgid
Back Swollen or distended, as in plant cells. (A walled cell becomes [this] if it has a greater solute concentration than its surroundings, resulting in entry of water.)
