Administered Atomizer Device Route Intranasal Administration Medication Nostril

Front What is the intranasal (IN) route of administration?
Back This is medication administered into the nostril, typically via a specialized atomizer device called a Mucosal Atomizer Device (AKA M.A.D.). Blood flow to the head and face is very high; therefore, absorption is rather quick with this route. Naloxone can be administered to some overdose patients via this route.
