Front | What is the nature of blood movement in normal ventilation versus positive-pressure ventilation? |
---|---|
Back | Regarding this, in normal ventilation: Normal breathing allows blood to naturally be pulled back to the heart. Whereas in positive-pressure ventilation: Intrathoracic pressure is increased, not allowing blood to be adequately pulled back to the heart. This causes the amount of blood pumnped by the heart to be reduced. |
