Contaminated Irrigate Contact Area Water Patient Poison Reacts

Front When should you not irrigate the contact area with water?
Back When a patient has been contaminated with a poison that reacts violently to water, such as phosphorus or elemental sodium. Instead, brush the chemical off the patient, remove contaminated clothing, and apply a dry dressing to the burn area.
