Back | This condition is when three or more ribs are fractured in two or more places, or if the sternum is fractured along with several ribs, and a segment of the chest wall may detach from the rest of the thoracic cage. This seriously interferes with the body's normal ventilation mechanics and must be addressed quickly. |
