Back This is caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Symptoms, which are generally more severe in men than in women, appear in approximately 2 to 10 days after exposure, and include painful urination, burning or itching, yellowish or bloody discharge, and blood associated with vaginal intercourse.
