Back | When doing this, you must obtain: Respiratory rate, Rhythm (regular or irregular), Quality or character of breathing, and, Depth of breathing. You should be asking yourself: Does the patient appear to be choking? Is the rate too fast or too slow? Are the respirations shallow or deep? Is the patient cyanotic? Do you hear abnormal sounds when listening to the lungs? Is the patient moving air into and out of the lungs on both sides? |
